Is the Sonos Controller compatible with Android tablets?
The Sonos Controller is designed specifically for Android smart phones. The Android tablets are an unsupported platform.
Are there any known issues with certain handsets?
Unfortunately, yes. The following Android smartphones may provide a sub-standard Sonos Controller experience due to poor smartphone Wi-Fi performance:
* Motorola Droid X
* HTC Hero (International and US version)
* HTC Eris (Verizon Wireless US version of the Hero)
* Motorola Droid 1
Will the Sonos Controller for Android work on an Android smartphone that does not meet support requirements or is installed from outside of the Android Market?
While the Android OS does allow the installation of Apps from outside the Android Market, Sonos cannot guarantee the performance of the Sonos Controller for Android on these smartphones.
Will the Sonos Controller for Android work on an Android tablet?
The Sonos Controller for Android was designed for use on smartphones and tablets are not supported in this release. While it may be possible to install the App on certain tablets, the resolution will remain that of a smartphone and additionally, Sonos cannot guarantee quality performance on a tablet device.
Can the Sonos Controller for Android be installed on an SD Card?
At this time, the Sonos Controller for Android app will install to your Android’s internal storage without the option to install or move to an SD card. The Android app takes up about 10MB of space.
